Biographical Information
Tadashi H. Nakamura is a fourth-generation Japanese American born and raised in Los Angeles . He graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from UCLA in 2003 with a B.A. in Asian American Studies and is currently the Community Projects Coordinator of UCLA's Center for EthnoCommunications. His film, YELLOW BROTHERHOOD was awarded Best Documentary Short at the San Diego Asian Film Festival and has also been screened in numerous film festivals around the country. Tadashi's previous films include The Dream (2002), an experimental film that explores coming to grips with his uncle's untimely death; Things Need to Change: A Portrait of P-Town (2002), a short documentary exposing the current socio-economic problems within Los Angeles' historic Pilipino community; and March Rain (2003), a short lyrical video depicting the Asian Pacific American contingent of a world-wide anti-war march in Los Angeles.
